A Dream You Could Trust

Sharnelle Guthrie · 2026

A Dream You Could Trust began with the feeling of finally following my heart. I had spent so much time looking outward at what felt uncertain or diminished that I hadn't noticed how much was expanding within me. I began imagining my eyes learning to see again: turning inward toward the layers that had been waiting for my attention, and allowing my desire for a simple life to make more room for what my inner world wanted to communicate. The composition became an exploration of that shift. The moment a dream stops feeling like escape and begins to feel like somewhere you can actually live.
